Remember yesterday when I said I was going to be writing a blog post about adding machines?
Wait? Is that really what I said? Probably. I don’t feel like going back and checking.
Anyway! I’m still planning this blog post, but there’s a lot to consider – especially since someone threw me a curve ball today and mentioned that in the 80s people who were studying accounting had to take a class about nothing but using adding machines! And it lasted a whole semester!
I guess she was studying accounting! I doubt she was studying theater and then became an accountant, right? That would be a great curve ball to get thrown on top of the adding machine class curve ball.
Oh my! There might be even more drama and excitement in this upcoming post than even I could have anticipated!
In addition to all that I just wrote, my blog post is going to talk a little about the grandson of the adding machine inventor – if you know who I’m talking about DON’T SPOIL THE SURPRISE! – and I will also recount a useless but somewhat endearing anecdote from my 20s involving my romantic aspirations as they related to adding machines and girls who used them.
